Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On November 30, 2006, J. Taft Symonds retired as a director of TETRA Technologies, Inc. (“TETRA”), and will no longer serve as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. The resignation of Mr. Symonds was not the result of any disagreement with TETRA relating to TETRA’s operations, policies or practices.
Also on November 30, 2006, the Board of Directors of TETRA appointed Ralph S. Cunningham, an existing director of TETRA, as Chairman of the Board.
TETRA issued a press release announcing the foregoing matters on December 1, 2006. The press release is filed with this Current Report as Exhibit 99.1.
