On October 11, 2007, Buckeye Technologies Inc. issued a press release announcing the conference call for first quarter results on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Central (3:00 Eastern).  A copy of the press release is furnished as exhibit 99.1.

On October 12, 2007, Buckeye Technologies Inc. issued a press release announcing that it expects profitability for the July-September quarter to be in the range of 32-35 cents per share.  A copy of the press release is furnished as exhibit 99.2.
