Supreme
Court rules in ABN
AMRO’s
appeal against LaSalle
injunction
Amsterdam,
13 July
2007
Today
the Supreme Court ruled in respect
of ABN AMRO’s
appeal against the provisional injunction
imposed by the
Enterprise Chamber on 3 May 2007 restraining ABN AMRO from completing
the sale
of LaSalle to Bank of America without approval of its
shareholders.
The
ruling of the Supreme Court confirms
that the sale of LaSalle is not subject to
the approval of ABN AMRO
shareholders. ABN AMRO intends to complete the sale of LaSalle to
Bank of
America.
