Mabra Featured in Georgia Law Magazine

Atlanta, Georgia -

The Mabra Law Firm, based in Atlanta, GA, is proud to announce that Ronnie Mabra, founder of the firm, was recently featured in Advocate, University of Georgia’s School of Law magazine. The magazine article points out that it was the desire of Ronnie to serve and help others that made the former Georgia Tech football player to study law and establish a firm that is focused on personal injury law. He also ran and won a seat at the Georgia House of Representatives when a new state house district emerged in 2012. He sponsored two bills that eventually became law during his two terms at the state legislature. He decided not to run for a third term when his first son was born. With a renewed vigor for his law practice, he moved his law firm to Midtown Atlanta.

Ronnie Mabra says, “We distinguish ourselves as being a part of the community, serving people, helping people, and being there through the entire process. We don’t just see someone as a client, but as a family member, and when you see someone as a family member, you go all out.”

Ronnie Mabra graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. He had chosen to study law in Athens, Georgia because of his plan to become a sports agent and help athletes get the most benefit from their physical abilities. After graduation, he was indeed successful in helping a friend’s younger brother to join the Green Bay Packers during the season leading up to the team’s 2011 win in the Super Bowl. Later on, because of his desire for a more consistent paycheck and lifestyle, he shifted to personal injury law. He was able to secure a position at a small firm in Fayetteville, his hometown. He was able to develop a good reputation and he felt that it was a good way to help and serve other people.

A few years later he founded The Mabra Firm where he operated the firm from his kitchen table. Later on, he moved to a corner table at a Starbucks branch within a nearby Barnes & Noble store. During this point in his life, he recalled that he and his wife, Dawn, were “walking by faith and not by sight.” It was a challenging period for the young couple but God truly blessed them and he was able to widen his territory.

In 2012, he was convinced by his wife, colleagues and friends to run for a seat in the Georgia House of Representatives. He served for two terms before deciding not to pursue a third term. This allowed him to focus on his law firm and in helping his wife finally achieve her dream of becoming a doctor. In moving his practice to Midtown Atlanta, he intentionally chose a location with extra space that he shared with other firms. It was his way of helping new lawyers who were just starting out. He told them to come in and share the space and not worry about rent. And he found it was a great office environment where they would help each other out and brainstorm new ideas.

At this point in time, Ronnie Mabra’s reputation continued to grow. He was featured in the Georgia Super Lawyer magazine and he was included in a number of 40-under-40 lists. In late 2021, The Mabra Law Firm opened what is considered to be a “premier, state-of-the-art law firm building” in Atlanta.

Founded in 2007 by Ronnie Mabra, The Mabra Law Firm serves as a continuation of his lifetime commitment to serving people, community, and state. During the course of his career as a personal injury lawyer, he has recovered millions of dollars to help fellow Georgians. One of his memorable cases was when he served as co-counsel in getting the original NFL settlement of $675 million as compensation for players. He has been featured as one of Georgia’s top lawyers in the Georgia Super Lawyers magazine.
