Re-Entry Alliance Pensacola Announces New Board MembersRe-Entry Alliance PensacolaLocal nonprofit aids previously incarcerated citizens in successfully re-integrating into society

Re-Entry Alliance Pensacola, Inc. (“REAP”), a Florida-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that helps returning citizens, the homeless, veterans in need, and the less fortunate, is pleased to announce four new board members.

Re-Entry Alliance Pensacola, Inc (“REAP”): Vinnie Whibbs, Executive Director of REAP announced that REAP has recently welcomed four new board members to the REAP family. New members include Venesulia “V” Carr, Al Coby, Sabrina Simpson and Ed Holland. In addition, Al Stubblefield was elected President; Ralph Peterson, Vice President; Philomena Madden, Secretary; and Dick Baker, Treasurer. Other returning board members include Joe Hammons, David McGee, Andrea Roberts, Britt Landrum, Ron Johnson, Lois Benson, Fred Donovan, Jack DeMoss, and Liam Dunaway.

REAP currently assists those returning to society post-incarceration with housing, food, jobs, healthcare, transportation, friends/mentors and vocational training. The organization’s mission is to make sure individuals returning from a period of incarceration have access to basic resources in order to make a successful transition.

With its expansion into serving Pensacola’s unhoused population, REAP saw a need to add additional leadership to its Board of Directors as well as to make certain that its Board fairly represents the makeup of the community it serves. Gearing up for its 10th anniversary, the organization recently opened a 17,000-square-foot shelter called Max-Well Respite Center. The facility is divided into three parts: a veteran’s section, a family section and a single’s section, along with a common area and private showers.
