Tree Service Company Launches Sustainable Land Clearing Service in Pennsylvania

Beaver County Tree Service launches their new Land Clearing Service for 38,700 private woodland and forest owners in 4 counties of Western Pennsylvania. This extends their tree service range.

Rochester, United States - February 2, 2023 /PressCable/

Beaver County Tree Service, a leading provider of tree care services in Western Pennsylvania, announces the launch of their new Land Clearing Service. This service will provide private landowners, timber companies, and developers, with a comprehensive solution for clearing land and preparing it for development, construction, or other projects.

Western Pennsylvania is home to over 880,000 acres of forested land and woodland in Beaver, Butler, Allegheny, and Lawrence Counties. These 4 counties form the bulk of the company’s service area. It is home to a diverse group of private woodland owners together with a handful of timber companies and government agencies. Fully 71% of forested land in Western PA is privately held. These stewards of the trees are responsible for managing woodlands and forested areas in the area.

Despite only 1% of woodland in these counties being cleared of trees each year (source: PennState Extension), there are 11 reasons why landowners regularly ask for land clearing services. This is from Beaver County Tree Service’s own analysis as outlined on the dedicated land and lot clearing service page on their website.

“We are pleased to offer a new land clearing and lot clearing service to customers," said Jake McMillan, owner of Beaver County Tree Service. "We have a team of experienced and trained operators who are led to complete land clearance projects safely, on time and within budget. We believe our service will be of value for approximately 38,700 private woodland owners in our service area."

Their Land Clearing Service will include a range of services, including tree and brush removal, excavation, grading, stump grinding and erosion control, the latter often through hydro-seeding. The company will also dispose of cleared debris in an environmentally sensitive manner, thereby ensuring that the site is left clean and safe for further development.

"We understand that land clearing can be a complex and time-consuming process," said Smith. "That's why we are committed to working closely with our customers to understand their clearance needs and provide a customized solution that meets those needs. Our goal is to make the land clearing process as efficient and stress-free as possible for our customers."

In addition to this new service, Beaver County Tree Service will continue to offer their full range of tree care services, including tree trimming, pruning, and removal. The company also offers an emergency tree service for trees that have fallen onto homes and buildings.

Beaver County Tree Service supports the sustainable clearing of land within its service area. PennState Extension academics say that only around 1 million board feet of timber are harvested each year in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a whole. This is the timber required to build just 61 average-sized, single-family American homes.

Pennsylvania’s forests continue to grow at more than double the rate of timber extraction as confirmed by PennState Extension. Whilst the area of woodland is static at about 58% of total land area, the trees are maturing and growing in height and trunk diameter. Forest volume has been growing steadily after successive rounds of deforestation in Pennsylvania’s 3 centuries of history. Forest inventory analysis of USDA Forest Service data reports a remarkable 5-fold growth in the amount of standing timer in Pennsylvania over the last 60 years.

"Trees and woodland are important to the local and regional environment. So long as forest growth volumes continue to increase overall, we are happy to help deliver well-managed land clearing projects on a sustainable basis.” said McMillan. "We look forward to working with our customers to help them achieve their land development goals.”
