Item 8.01 Other Events.

 

On May 27, 2005, Affordable Residential Communities Inc. (the “Company”) filed and began mailing the proxy for its 2005 annual stockholders meeting to be held in Denver, Colorado on June 30, 2005.  The proxy included biographical information for the Company’s proposed slate of directors, which includes Gerald J. Ford, Carl B. Webb and James R. “Randy” Staff.  Recently,  Mssrs.  Ford, Webb and Staff were elected as directors of Triad Financial Corporation (“Triad”), and Mr. Ford also was elected Chairman of the Board of Triad.
