A new, more eco rug pad is made from recycled yarns from new carpet manufacturing. Since it's made in the USA, our padding meets rigorous standards for material purity.
Our padding is made with a proprietary heat set method no adhesives or VOC -volatile Organic Chemicals are used in its manufacturing.
Since the manufacturing process eliminates adhesives and binders, it removes the source of off-gassing chemicals. No chemicals are used that can negatively affect indoor air quality or your health. The padding has won the CRI Carpet and Rug Institute Geen label plus certification for indoor air quality.
The padding is made from high-quality domestic recycled materials and polypropylene backing that grip hard surfaces like wood, tile, and laminate. While the felt face grips the back of area carpets and Oriental rugs. The new rug padding is one hundred percent waterproof and protects floors from pet accidents and other liquid spills.
Since our new pad eliminates adhesives, it lasts much longer than traditional rubber pads held together with adhesives.
Our ultimate goal is a rug pad that lasts much longer, decades, not just years, and slows the trip to a dump. Hyde says this is a big win, an area rug pad that lasts three times the life span of existing rubber-backed area rug pads. Hyde says, "We're excited with our new product line of longer-lasting, greener rug pads."
