Tiffany Walden Helps Facebook Data Center Come to Eagle Mountain, Utah

Tiffany Walden, daughter of Eagle Mountain founder John Walden, helps Facebook obtain land in Eagle Mountain for their data center.

OREM, UT, January 31, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eagle Mountain, Utah has enjoyed the new Facebook data center for over a year. Thanks to many people in the community highlighting the benefits, including Tiffany Walden, the idea became a reality after breaking ground in 2018. It's one of the latest additions to the community to make it unique.

The investment not only goes towards Eagle Mountain, but the state of Utah in general. The data center alone represents an investment of over $1 billion. With many communities understanding the amount of economic impact a Facebook Data Center makes, Eagle Mountain had to beat out stiff competition.

When it first opened in 2021, there was a public tour option available for the data center. This was a way for the community to learn a little more about how everything goes at a data center. When sending messages, putting up photos, and sending videos, the data center is at the heart of so much activity across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and more.

Tiffany Walden was so invested with others in bringing the data center to Eagle Mountain because of the job opportunities opening up for citizens. This included over 1000 construction jobs during the building process. Now, it employs over 200 people at the operational level. It makes it a very easy commute for locals to work for one of the biggest tech companies in the world.

Facebook and supporters like Tiffany Walden are quick to point out that the data center is taking the community and treating it with as much respect as possible. It's a partnership with the community that provides so many with jobs.

They've already supported the community with other funding for projects that are over $2 million. They understand that employers live and work in this community and want it to be welcoming for a positive future.

To learn more about the data center built in Eagle Mountain, there was an article written about its opening. A new addition to any community is a big deal, and something of this magnitude can change things for the better in the future.
