Fairy Tales Can Come True: Accomplished Illustrator, Linds S. Gunn, Poised To Leave Readers In Awe With New Trilogy

The phenomenal writer has formerly been presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who and is coming from a successful career as a painter/illustrator, to pen the second installment of her magical trilogy

Accomplished author and book illustrator, Linda S. Gunn, is poised to leave readers stunned with the second installment of her magical trilogy titled Fairy Tales Can Come True: The Beginning.

The phenomenal woman is a well-renowned painter with decades of experience in the art world, as well as a seasoned writer acknowledged for her many achievements, leadership qualities, and sterling credentials.

Born as a granddaughter to the former Walt Disney employee George Drake, Linda S Gunn developed a passion for art at a very young age - taught to draw by Drake while he worked for Walt Disney in 1929 to hire and train new artists for the fledgling Walt Disney Studio.

Encouraged by the works of famous illustrators such as Howard Pyle, NC Wyeth, Norman Rockwell, Arthur Rackham, and later by the paintings of Andrew Wyeth, Linda developed a kinship with art and recalls visiting the Los Angeles Museum of Art and the Barnsdale Park Art Gallery in Los Angeles whenever she could.

After high school, Ms. Gunn chose to attend Long Beach City College where she perfected her drawing skills through several years of drawing classes. And returned to study watercolor under Mike Daniel in the early 1980s.

Before serving as a program director for Women Painters West in Burbank, CA, for several years in the late 1990s, Ms. Gunn worked as a painting instructor for nearly a decade at the Palos Verdes Art Center in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, and was also a painting instructor for the City of Long Beach Parks and Recreation for five years in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

At the request of Alwyn Crawshaw, President of England’s NAPA, National Acrylic Painters Association in 1995, Linda founded and directed the National Acrylic Painters Association NAPA USA. And together with Gerald Brommer who served as Honorary President, organized joint exhibitions for American members to exhibit their paintings in England and vice versa.

Ms. Gunn has illustrated several books and book covers, including Magic In The Mist by Knowonder Publications 2015, Dragon Tales, Fangtales, and Mertales Wyvern Publications 2009-2011, Blood Tide, A Promise Of Freedom by Holly Stacey 2011, and All In The Woods Wyvern Publications 2011.

Married to Stephen Dennis Gunn and blessed with two children, the multiple award winner was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who in 2017 and has also been highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who of American Women ever since.

Her most recent work is her debut novel titled Fairy Tales Can Come True, which is the first in a trilogy described by editors as a splendid mix of fiction and reality. The new book pleasurably captures the minds of young adults, with an exciting plot that follows the magical adventures of three California-based girls, Marie, Nina, and Mo.

While the first part of the story has already been released and can be accessed via the following link: https://www.lindagunn.com/fairy_tales.php, the second book is currently undergoing publishing, with the author promising to make all three books available to readers before the end of the year.
