Saint Louis, Missouri - June 2, 2023 - Destiny Over Diagnosis, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Missouri, is proud to announce the upcoming second annual Destiny Over Diagnosis Awards ceremony. The event will be held on July 22, 2023, at First Love Church located at 12523 Missouri Bottom Rd, Hazelwood, MO 63042. This exclusive ceremony aims to honor and celebrate individuals who have triumphed over life-altering ailments and embraced their true destinies.
Destiny Over Diagnosis was founded in 2020 by Sarah Mae Brown, an enthusiastic advocate for individuals facing health challenges. Having fought epilepsy for over 18 years, Sarah understood the struggles and limitations that often accompany a daunting medical diagnosis. Determined to help others see beyond their limitations, she embarked on a journey to inspire and empower individuals to shatter the glass ceilings imposed by their conditions.
Destiny Over Diagnosis offers hope and support to those navigating life after a life-altering diagnosis. Guided by the organization's five pillars—Sewing the S.E.A.M.S to Success through Service, Education, Awareness, Ministry, and Support—Destiny Over Diagnosis fosters a community where individuals can look beyond their doctor's prognosis and focus on their God-given destinies.
"The Destiny Over Diagnosis Awards is an opportunity to honor those who have refused to be defined by their diagnoses," said Sarah Mae Brown, the founder of Destiny Over Diagnosis. "I want to inspire and empower people who were given a concrete ceiling and decided to break through it. Together, we can continue living our best lives possible."
