RingID - Livestreaming: A New Frontier in Social Commerce

By: via AccessWire

MONTREAL, QC / ACCESSWIRE / May 13, 2022 / RingID, an all-in-one social media platform, allows users to interact with each other through livestreams, video and voice calling, direct messaging, blog posts, music, news, and more. Though developed in Montreal, ringID has amassed popularity among South Asian citizens and today currently boasts over 20 million active users on the platform. Interactivity is key as more and more people join social media everyday.

The world of social media has grown exponentially since its fledgling years in 1997 when SixDegrees first cornered the market. Over 4.65 billion people are using social media worldwide as of 2022, and that number is only expected to grow. While this allows people to connect faster than ever before, it also opens up a competitive market for among platforms and the influencers who want to make a living on them.

One of ringID's key features is Interactive Live, which allows users to earn and spend within the network. Not only has this allowed influencers to find their own success, but it has created a symbiotic relationship between users and businesses. "We believe that livestreaming is the future," says ringID. "So, we created a platform that allows users to connect and build a community in real time. It also allows brick and mortar businesses to offer a wider range of services using Interactive Live and connect with a newer, younger audience."

With Interactive Live, users can also watch livestreams, send broadcasters gifts, and communicate with each other through voice and video calls. Adding to the large number of features already offered, ringID has joined the likes of Facebook and Instagram with two styles of social commerce. There's the ringID Marketplace, where users can curate their favorite offsite products, and there's the ringID Virtual Storefront. The Virtual Storefront combines Live and Marketplace, allowing users to build a following through the promotion of their own services and products. Sales made from either are deposited into the built-in ringID digital wallet.

By bringing together some of the most popular features spread across various social media, ringID hopes to eliminate the hassle of managing numerous accounts and to build a well-engaged community of users. "We're trying to adapt to the ever growing market and meet the needs of individual users, and we believe that allowing more versatility will make the app easier to use for users of all kinds," ringID states.

RingID can be accessed through the mobile application. RingID hopes to diversify its user base next year by spreading further west, including such areas as India, Pakistan, and the Gulf Zone.

RingID was developed in Montreal, Canada and released in July 2015. Since then, it has provided over 20 million active users with a wide variety of features to consolidate and better manage their social media experience. Founder and CEO of ringID, Ayrin Islam, is driven by the company's mission of building the next-generation platform for social commerce.
