UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / November 4, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Kayla Lokker for her entrepreneurship in creating accessible jewelry solutions. Ms. Lokker is the founder of Easy Wear Jewelry, a Milwaukee-based startup that features its novel Easy Clasp design. This innovative patented technology makes accessorizing simple for everyone, especially those with dexterity challenges.

From Personal Loss to Inclusive Design
Ms. Lokker's goal is to give people confidence and independence through her inclusive designs. The idea for Easy Wear Jewelry came from a deeply personal place. While attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2024, she was heartbroken to lose a sentimental necklace due to a faulty clasp. Born from this personal frustration and a commitment to inclusivity, her patented technology empowers individuals with dexterity challenges to accessorize independently, merging style with purposeful innovation. Her personal disappointment sparked an entrepreneurial spirit, leading her to develop a retractable jewelry clasp that slides easily over the head or onto the wrist.
After a powerful conversation with a young woman who was struggling with severe limitations in hand dexterity, Ms. Lokker took her commitment to inclusivity a step further. She felt her mission was to make beautiful jewelry accessible to everyone. She went on to pour herself into sketching designs and collaborating with a jewelry designer, a mechanical engineer and a manufacturer willing to create custom molds.
A Foundation Built on Discipline
Ms. Lokker took an unusual path to becoming an entrepreneur. Growing up as a highly competitive gymnast who trained 40 hours a week, she developed perseverance and resilience, qualities that have since served her well. She even honed her pitching skills early on, unknowingly, by selling everything from cookie dough to coupon books.
Before diving into Easy Wear Jewelry full-time, Ms. Lokker built a successful career in real estate. She earned her real estate license during her sophomore year of college and sold houses while still a student. Combining the money she made as an agent with funds from pitch competitions, grants and angel investments, she was able to dedicate herself to developing her product after graduation. Currently, she continues to sell as a real estate agent at Compass.
Recognition for Innovation and Leadership
Ms. Lokker's achievements go beyond her entrepreneurial ventures. She made a splash on "Project Pitch It," a Wisconsin-based show, where her winning pitch earned her a first-place award and recognition for her two patents. She was also honored with two People's Choice awards in 2023 and 2024 and a leadership and excellence award from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for club growth.
Commitment to Community and Inclusivity
Concern for her community shines through Mr. Lokker's work with Independence First, her mentorship role in the UW-Milwaukee Alumni Association Mentorship Program and her active involvement with The Mobility Queen, a support group for stroke survivors. She is also planning to participate in the upcoming Hike Up the Towers fundraiser for Shirley Ryan Mobility.
Looking Ahead
In the near future, Mr. Lokker plans to refine the Easy Clasp and expand Easy Wear Jewelry to include other products that simplify accessorizing, such as easier-to-wear designs. Her ultimate goal, inspired by customer feedback, is to create a more inclusive jewelry industry that offers better accessibility. She wants to empower everyone to feel confident and express their own unique style.
When she is not busy with her various entrepreneurial outlets, Mr. Lokker enjoys teaching indoor spin classes. She also stays active through fitness, outdoor activities and international travel.
