“The American Red Cross provides comfort and care to those in their darkest hours,” said Sam Hazen, chief executive officer of HCA Healthcare. “As an organization that serves communities that have experienced flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes and other disasters, we are proud to extend our support of the Annual Disaster Giving Program and strengthen our partnership with the Red Cross as we work together to help those affected by disasters.”

As a member of the ADGP, HCA Healthcare also provides financial donations in advance of disasters, powering the Red Cross with strong infrastructure, trained volunteers, innovative technology and critical resources necessary to provide relief and support to those in crisis.
HCA Healthcare’s donation also supports the organization’s RC View, an advanced geographic information system (GIS) and data visualization tool that provides Red Cross teams with a shared disaster response capability. As a daily partner in responding to emergencies in communities it serves, HCA Healthcare contributes to and uses emergency response information within the RC View system. Additionally, HCA Healthcare provides Red Cross leaders with equivalent access to HCA Healthcare’s own emergency response information system so that both organizations can coordinate their activities as effectively as possible.
