The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into West Texas Gas with respect to their recent data breach. On October 9, 2023, West Texas Gas notified 56,587 individuals that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. According to West Texas Gas, they determined that information stored on their servers may have been subject to unauthorized access on May 16, 2023. West Texas Gas determined that the information exposed in the data breach includes names and in some cases, social security or tax identification number or other personal information.
