iPipeline®, a leading provider of digital solutions for the life insurance and wealth management industries, today announces the hire of veteran technology strategy leader, Steve Cover, as Chief Technology Officer. Cover will establish the future technical vision and roadmap for the organization’s next phase of growth, focusing on delivering innovative solutions that simplify, transform, and connect the industry while providing a market-leading level of technical quality and delivery. Cover will ensure that iPipeline’s global technological infrastructure continually delivers on its core mission to digitally transform these industries, unlocking speed, efficiency, and growth for all market participants.

Cover brings more than 30 years of knowledge and experience of leading high-performing technology teams, and developing technological solutions that both deliver on and advance business strategy. Cover has a proven track record of implementing unique technological visions, transforming software development processes with agile and efficient methodologies, and modernizing product architectures and platforms to meet industry needs in new ways. He has led the delivery of innovative and high-quality technology roadmaps to meet customer needs and achieve business goals for technology companies such as UKG, Horizon Software International, UnitedHealth Group, Microsoft, and most recently, CentralSquare Technologies, where he defined and executed the company’s technology strategy and oversaw the development of global software.

Pat O’Donnell, CEO at iPipeline comments: “As iPipeline accelerates its growth and innovation, we continue to bring in talented C-suite leaders who are at the peak of their professions and are leaders in their space. We are delighted to add Steve to our growing roster of technology-forward leaders who understand the impact we are committed to in North America's life insurance and financial services industries and the UK's life insurance and pensions industries. Winning talent like Steve Cover -- as well as our recent new hires Chief Product Officer Katie Kahl and Chief Financial Officer Adam Boone -- sets us up to accelerate our success by providing the highest-grade solutions to our clients. Steve lives and breathes technological innovation, while bringing an approach rooted in true quality of delivery. I can’t wait to see his impact as we continue to advance our digital solutions and connect data and processes across every corner of the value chain.”

Cover, who is the co-author of seven U.S. technology patents, will lead the technology team as they deliver on the insurtech’s mission to platform the future of financial services, taking carriers, broker-dealers, financial advisors, and agents from slow-moving, manual processes to smart, connected operations that digitally accelerate growth. Armed with his strong track record of technology achievements, Cover will focus on strategically expanding iPipeline’s technological capabilities and enhancing market differentiation, while increasing value to clients by improving quality, delivery, security, and testing.

Steve Cover comments on his appointment: “I’m thrilled to join a leadership team that is so fiercely determined to affect change in the industries it serves for the benefit of all parties. I have seen firsthand what is required to help companies overcome the challenges associated with driving technological innovation in complex spaces, and iPipeline is uniquely committed to – and capable of - modernizing the life insurance, annuities, and wealth management spaces in this way. Their heritage, network, and deep ties to every part of these industries give iPipeline an unmatched ability to unleash the full potential of the digital age across the life, annuities, and wealth management value chains, and I could not be more thrilled to be playing a key role in that transformation.”

Cover earned a master’s degree in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Furman University. He joins iPipeline’s Executive Leadership Team and will report directly to CEO Pat O’Donnell.
