Hicks Thomas partner earns repeat selection to elite leadership guide
Hicks Thomas LLP is pleased to announce that firm partner John B. Thomas has been named to the 2026 Lawdragon 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know.
This marks the second consecutive year Mr. Thomas has been selected for the guide, which identifies the influential architects behind the nation's leading law firms.
Lawdragon says this year’s honorees “are impassioned, inclusive and represent a new era of what it looks like to lead a law firm.”
The distinction arrives during a period of sustained momentum for Hicks Thomas. Following a successful 2025, the firm continues to garner national praise, including recent placements on Lawdragon’s Leading Environmental Lawyers, Leading Lawyers and Hall of Fame rosters, Super Lawyers, Legal 500 and Benchmark Litigation.
"Being recognized by Lawdragon for a second year is an honor, but it truly reflects the resilience and talent of our entire team," said Mr. Thomas. "Our focus remains on building a firm that is not just a business but also a home for advocacy and a trusted voice for our clients in their most critical moments."
A veteran trial lawyer, Mr. Thomas is known for his extensive experience handling high-stakes and complex commercial litigation. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of matters, including business, construction, energy, environmental and natural resources, real estate, and intellectual property and trade secret litigation.
His work has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, Texas Super Lawyers, Benchmark Litigation and Lawdragon. He is also an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Honorees are selected through nominations and Lawdragon’s extensive research and vetting process.
