Ellen Hajek grew up on a farm in Nebraska and earned her degree from Peru State College, where she met her husband. Their shared love for the mountains led them to Colorado, where they both completed graduate studies at Colorado State College before embarking on teaching careers. Ellen has also been an active freelance writer, contributing to publications and developing educational resources such as A Quick Coach Guide to Service Learning, Humpties: Parts of Speech with “Eggceptional” Personalities, Building Sentences with the Humpties, The “How to Write” Book, and Elinka’s World.
