Stanford, CA — April 2026 — Protect Our Campus, a non-partisan initiative dedicated to documenting extremism and safeguarding academic integrity, today announced the release of the Stanford Papers, a comprehensive investigative report examining antisemitism, faculty conduct, and administrative inaction at Stanford University.
The Stanford Papers bring together months of documented incidents, faculty statements, campus events, and institutional responses to provide a clear, evidence-based account of how antisemitism has taken root within one of the nation’s most influential academic institutions.
The findings build on existing warnings about Stanford’s campus climate. A June 2024 internal subcommittee report described antisemitism at Stanford as “widespread and pernicious.” In March 2025, the university also faced federal scrutiny under Title VI, placing its response to campus discrimination under increased national attention.

A Pattern, Not Isolated Incidents
The Stanford Papers document a recurring set of dynamics across campus: • Faculty Influence and Rhetoric: Faculty members have contributed to shaping the academic and public discourse around these issues. In some cases, this has included language and frameworks that have been criticized for minimizing concerns about antisemitism or presenting one-sided historical and political narratives.
• Campus Activism and Escalation: Protests and encampments have become a defining feature of campus life over the past year. Alongside political expression, there have been documented instances where Jewish students reported feeling excluded, targeted, or unsafe in certain campus spaces.
• Institutional Response: University responses have varied across incidents. While statements and reviews have been issued, questions remain about consistency in enforcement and whether existing policies have been applied uniformly.
“Stanford is not facing a perception problem. It is facing a governance problem,” said Anna Miller, a spokesperson for Protect Our Campus. “What we are seeing is the result of years
of tolerated behavior, where faculty rhetoric and administrative inaction have combined to create a hostile environment for Jewish students.”
Documenting What Universities Refuse to Confront
The Stanford Papers highlight specific examples of faculty members using their academic platforms to promote ideological narratives that align with extremist rhetoric, as well as instances where university leadership failed to act despite clear violations of campus policies.
The report also examines how internal structures, including committees and review processes, have failed to produce meaningful enforcement or restore trust among affected students.
A National Issue with Local Consequences
While focused on Stanford University, the report situates these findings within a broader national trend. Across elite universities, similar patterns have emerged: faculty-driven narratives, escalating protests, and administrative reluctance to enforce standards. “Stanford is not an outlier,” Miller added. “It is part of a broader failure across higher education. The difference is that at Stanford, the evidence is now impossible to ignore.”
Call for Transparency and Accountability
Protect Our Campus is calling on Stanford University leadership to:
• Conduct a transparent review of faculty conduct and classroom practices • Enforce existing policies related to discrimination and harassment • Publicly disclose disciplinary actions taken in response to documented incidents • Ensure that civil rights protections are applied consistently across campus • The organization also urges stakeholders, donors, and the broader academic
community to examine how universities are responding to federal civil rights obligations.
