Morven Museum & Garden hosts 2021 Festival of Trees

PRINCETON, N.J. - Nov. 9, 2021 - PRLog -- Morven is gearing up for its 16th Festival of Trees, an annual highlight of the holiday season showcasing a juried collection of trees and mantels displayed throughout the museum's galleries, upstairs and down.  Located at 55 Stockton Street, Princeton, New Jersey, visitors are welcome from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays from November 17, 2021 through January 9, 2022, to tour the mansion adorned by garden clubs' and non-profit organizations' exquisite and whimsical holiday decor.

This year's Festival of Trees "Winter Garden Party" hosts are Colleen Goggins, Carolyn & John Healey, Rachel Herr, and Eileen & Robert O'Neil.

"One of our beloved traditions, Festival of Trees celebrates the season with our decorator partners festooning our galleries. We are thrilled to once again invite you to our home for the holidays and very grateful to our co-chairs and generous sponsors. There is something for everyone to enjoy,"  Morven Executive Director Jill Barry announced recently.

Throughout the season, museum visitors are invited to vote on their favorite tree or mantel both in person and online. Museum tickets must be purchased to enter the museum and are available at this link https://www.morven.org/tickets. Docents will be available on occasion inside the galleries, however, no formal tours are given during the Festival.

December programming around this year's Festival of Trees includes Holiday Wreath Workshops, Virtual Storytimes with Docent Mollie, and an at-home Baking Contest. Additional details on Morven's programming is at this link www.morven.org/programs

Winter Garden Party Tickets Now Available

Morven's Festival of Trees annual fundraising party returns to the great outdoors this year on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.  The outdoor "Winter Garden Party" is replete with fire pits, twinkle lights, hot beverages, hearty hors d'oeuvres, and "the warmth of each other's company," Barry noted. Guests may view the spectacular exhibition; museum doors will be open. "We encourage everyone to dress for the weather in your winter finery!" she added.  The weather date is Sunday, December 5th and ticket prices for the party start at $175 per person. Built in the 1750s and home to one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, Morven was home to five generations of Stocktons, then Robert Wood Johnson, Jr. before becoming  New Jersey's first Governor's Mansion and home to five New Jersey governors, their families and staffs; witnessing nearly 300 years of history.
