BILL (BILL) Reports Q3: Everything You Need To Know Ahead Of Earnings

Financial automation platform BILL (NYSE: BILL) will be announcing earnings results this Thursday after the bell. Here’s what to expect.

BILL beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 2% last quarter, reporting revenues of $383.3 million, up 11.5% year on year. It was a softer quarter for the company, with full-year revenue guidance slightly missing analysts’ expectations and full-year EPS guidance missing analysts’ expectations significantly. It added 5,200 customers to reach a total of 493,800.

This quarter, analysts are expecting BILL’s revenue to grow 9.1% year on year to $391 million, slowing from the 17.5% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.51 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. BILL has a history of exceeding Wall Street’s expectations, beating revenue estimates every single time over the past two years by 3.1% on average.

Looking at BILL’s peers in the finance and hr software segment, some have already reported their Q3 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Flywire delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 27.6%, beating analysts’ expectations by 7.7%, and Paylocity reported revenues up 12.5%, topping estimates by 1.9%.
