Baker to raise Covid-induced capacity limits on businesses

Beginning Monday, restaurants, retailers, gyms, offices and certain other venues statewide will be limited to 40% capacity, rather than 25%, according to an email from a public health official. Beginning this upcoming Monday, restaurants, retailers, gyms, offices and certain other venues statewide will no longer be limited to 25% of their maximum capacity, according to the email from state public health official Ron O’Connor reviewed by the Business Journal. Instead, they will be allowed to have up to 40% of capacity. The governor is holding a State House press conference to provide Covid-19 updates at 12:30 p.m., when he is expected to announce the changes.
