Community First Health Plan Now Accepting Applications for Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program

SAN ANTONIO - Oct. 5, 2021 - PRLog -- Community First Health Plans is pleased to launch the Empowering Pathways: Entrepreneur Scholarship Program. This scholarship program was created for Community First Members who are interested in starting or growing their own small business.

"We believe in the strength and potential of dreamers with big ideas, hardworking entrepreneurs, and local business owners in our community," said Theresa Scepanski, President and CEO of Community First Health Plans. "Ultimately we want to help entrepreneurs and small business owners to achieve their highest potential."

This scholarship program will provide participants the knowledge and support to build the strong foundation necessary to operate successfully within the ever-changing business environment. Program will include funding for education, training programs, and other opportunities to start or grow a small business, access to research resources, an extensive professional referral network, and lifelong business partners.

In addition, applicants will receive one-on-one business advising services to help develop business plans, identify sources to capital, analyze financial records, conduct specialized research and marketing & advertising campaigns to grow their business.

Richard Sifuentes is the director of the UTSA Small Business Development Center. He leads small businesses to improvement and growth.
"We work diligently to ensure every small business can achieve success," said Sifuentes. "We are pleased to partner with Community First Health Plans to continue this work and to jointly invest in our community."


Empowering Pathways: Entrepreneur Scholarship Program is made possible by our community partners: University of Texas at San Antonio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and LiftFund.

Community First members interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should apply at https://CommunityFirstHealthPlans.com/Scholarships. Deadline to apply is Friday, October 8, 2021.
