Lamb discussed how specialty food manufacturers manage with so many supply chain disruptions. “There is no easy solution. While bosses and clients are asking for updates every 2 hours, answers are not available as to when deliveries can be expected. There are responsive strategies to manage these horrible supply chain disruptions. Many of the specialty food manufacturers are turning to partners or competitors who provide a similar product. Tapping into their vendor database or co-packers is a good place to start. Finding out which domestic vendors are used is a valuable and vital resource,” shared Lamb.
