A.D.A.M. was founded in 2018 as a mergence of 3D printing and innovation development teams with roots in Ukrainian aerospace and biotech engineering. Today, A.D.A.M. is a US based company with subsidiaries in both Ukraine and Australia.  The Ukrainian subsidiary has the main focus on research and development, while the US based company still holds intellectual property and performs business development and marketing functions; and the Australian subsidiary is pivoting the entrance to the Asia – Pacific market.

The initial vision was to create a company with a car-shop-like infrastructure where any human body part can be treated like a replaceable car part. The team then decided to start the development of the project with a focus on bone implants, and followed it up with the creation of proprietary 3D printing technology and material composites for the implants. A.D.A.M.’s exclusive approach to implant manufacturing – using 3D printing – facilitates enhanced production of personalized implants that are cost-effective, and quickly delivered without compromising on the quality. 

“Our aim is to greatly improve the manufacturing process in regenerative medicine on a global scale by overcoming the barriers of tissue transplantation and organs’ 3D printing prevailing presently,” said A.D.A.M. As global healthcare models face scrutiny and the need to restructure processes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the basic demand for materials (such as human tissue,organs, and titanium implants that currently dominate the market) remains largely unmet due to supply chain vulnerabilities. As an alternative, A.D.A.M.’s 3D-printed implants are not only easier to produce locally, they also support the progressive development of tissue engineering so multiple implant replacements and surgeries are not necessary. “
