We call on The Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine to reject Yan Limeng as its visiting scholar; otherwise, it will bring shame to the School. First, Yan Limeng incited racial discrimination, resulting in the victimization of Asian-Americans. Yan Limeng spread the fallacy about the origin of the covid-19 pandemic, calling it the “Chinese virus”, which directly led to the stigmatization of Asian-Americans and continued violence against Asian-Americans. According to “STOP AAPI Hate”, at least 2808 anti-Asian incidents happened in 2020. In 2021, the hatred against Asian-Americans escalated. On the day after the passing of the Anti Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act, a 61-year-old Asian man in New York was attacked by a mob and seriously injured. Second, Yan Limeng has academic misconduct, whose name does not match the reality. Yan Limeng’s “virology expert” title is purely fictitious, and her papers on covid-19 are supported by false data. Columbia virology expert Angela Rasmussen, University of Washington biology researcher Carl Bergstrom, University of Bath microbiologist Andrew Preston, etc, all said that Yan Limeng’s research is baseless, without trust. Third, Yan Limeng is of poor character and likes telling lies. Yan Limeng said her mother was arrested four times by the Chinese authorities and detained in Beijing, but the New York Times reporter confirmed it as a falsehood. Since coming to the US, she has had simultaneous sex scandals with Guo Wengui and Luther (Wang Dinggang) and even pregnancy rumors. We hereby call on the Asian-Americans to speak out and boycott Yan Limeng as a visiting scholar and get her out of the US.
