Chima Nice has been making waves with his unique blend of Igbo culture and Atlantan x Nigerian heritage, with his initial buzz in 2017 coming in the form of ‘Pree Game’. With a slew of successful projects (Wavy Girl, Jumpin, In De Afro) racking up significant plays online, we now come to the present day, where Chima is now ready again to unleash new material with the world. 

Titled ‘Afro Matrix’, and releasing on June 8th, 2022, the project is a full-length LP that promises to showcase exactly why Chima Nice is one of Atlanta’s prime artists to watch in 2022 and beyond.

Blurring the lines between Afro Hip Hop, Afro Indie and even New Age, Chima Nice has carved out a sound that is unique to him, and him only. For Chima, he simply wants people to open their eyes to what’s around them.

This all feeds back into Chima’s notion of ascending towards their own true identity, a feat that he is well on his way to accomplishing with each successive release.

As far as the album itself goes, many of the themes and narratives are based around Chima’s colorful past. A standout track is ‘Devil’, that details his experience with a college girl who pulled him into the occult, and was only able to make his escape through music.
