Fastmetrics Team Sailor Competing In US Open Series

Adam K to represent the USA in Formula Foil Competition

San Francisco, California Aug 11, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The West Marine US Open Sailing Series will take place from the St. Francis Yacht Club, San Francisco, California from August 12 - 14th, 2022. 

Sailors from countries including Canada, Mexico, the United States of America, Japan, Lithuania, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela will compete across the following classes; Formula Kite, Open Kite Foil, IQFoil, Open Wind Foil, ILCA 4, ICLA 6, ICLA 7, i420 and 470. 

Representing the USA and team Fastmetrics in the Formula Foil series in a fleet of over twenty local and international competitors, will be Adam K. Adam a seasoned sailor, kiteboarder, and Bay Area local. Wind conditions permitting, Adam will be sailing an 11 sq m light blue Fastmetrics branded kite.

Amongst competitors in the Formula Foil series will be; Ben Whan (Queen City Yacht Club), Adam Vance (Whistler Sailing Association), and Martyna Dakowicz from Canada. Representing Mexico will be; Xantos Villegas (Somos Mexico). Sailing for the USA will be; Kai Calder (STFYCSF), Amil Kabil (Oakland yacht club), and Casey Brown (NYYC).

Two aspiring Paris 2024 Olympic athletes from the USA will also race; Noah Runciman (3rd place US Open Long Beach, 1st place U19 Hydrofoil Pro-Tour San Francisco, U19 Brazilian Champion) from Houston, Texas. Also five-time formula kite world champion and three-time US Rolex Yachtswoman of the year Daniela Moroz. Daniela is born and bred in San Francisco, sailing out of the St. Francis Yacht Club (STFYCSF).
