Veteran Navy SEAL William Branum featured on the September Cover of Best Holistic Life

By: Get News
Best Holistic Life magazine has announced the September 2022 cover will feature US Navy SEAL Veteran William Branum, public speaker and founder of Naked Warrior Recovery; a company focused on ending veteran suicide. Branum shares his five SEAL secrets as a public speaker and coach.

Retired Navy SEAL William Branum teaches How to Get NAKED Like A Navy SEAL in the September 2022 issue of Best Holistic Life magazine. Branum draws on his 26 years of experience in the SEAL teams to train CEOs and other high-performing individuals to “think like a Navy SEAL.” From the battlefield to the boardroom, he teaches SEAL Teams leadership with a culture of organization to build employees up into team members.

“When I ‘retired’ from the SEAL teams after 26 years of service, I was suddenly lost. I’d lost my mission, my purpose, and my TEAM,” Branum said. “Have you ever felt like I did? You know it’s no fun…until you find a new purpose, mission, and team.”

Branum has made it a personal mission to take action toward reducing the number of veteran suicides. For many veterans, calming their minds after returning to civilian life is difficult. It took Branum a while to figure it out for himself, but when he did, he distilled more than two decades of service into five SEAL secrets, which he teaches to his clients.

Get N.A.K.E.D.

“Now, you may be asking, what are these five SEAL secrets?” Branum said. “To help you remember how to think like a Navy SEAL, I just say you have to Get N.A.K.E.D.”

–  “N—Never Quit”
Every life coach and guru will advise their clients never to quit, but as Branum points out, none of them ever explains exactly how to never quit. By nature, people start to shut down when overwhelmed. Branum says the trick is to create small victories by breaking the overwhelming task into smaller, easy-to-achieve pieces.

–  “A—Accept Failure”
Branum teaches that failure hurts, but it can be an excellent teacher, too. When approached with the right mindset, failure leads to learning, growth, and resilience to keep trying until it’s right.

–  “K—Kill Mediocrity”
According to Branum, people must kill mediocrity in their lives by holding themselves accountable to continue making progress toward their goals. He says the best way to kill mediocrity is to compete in kindness, gratitude, and generosity—and against one’s own ego.

–  “E—Expose Your Fears”
Branum tells clients to write down everything causing anxiety in their lives because once they are written down, they are exposed. One cannot move past the things they don’t acknowledge

– “D—Do the Work”
In a world of instant gratification, Branum says many have forgotten the value of “doing the work.” He advises clients to act daily to move toward their goals. After all, stagnation leads right back to mediocrity.
