Krampade Introduces Two New Product Families - Complete and Recover

Krampade, a manufacturer of high-potassium powdered drink mixes, annouces the launch of two new products - Complete and Recover.

Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States - October 20, 2022 /MarketersMEDIA/

Krampade, which manufactures three families of high-potassium powdered drink mixes that enhance dietary potassium intake, announces the launch of two new product families — Krampade Recover and Krampade Complete.

Krampade Recover is an excellent source of dietary protein specifically designed to support muscle recovery in athletes and individuals engaged in physical activity. Unlike other protein drink products, it mixes as a clear solution with the addition of water and avoids the chalky taste associated with traditional protein recovery drinks.

With 30 grams of whey protein isolate per serving, it is an excellent source of protein for maintaining and building skeletal muscle. It contains about thirty times more potassium than a typical sports drink. Potassium is an additional key nutrient needed to support rapid muscle recovery and reduced fatigue from exercise or physical activity. It comes in a regular sugar formulation (30 g per serving) and is also available in a ZERO sugar formulation with only 123 calories per serving from the protein.

“When designing Krampade Recover, I wanted the optimal amount of potassium and protein for muscle recovery that would mix as a clear solution,” said Dr. Cameron Murphy, VP of Product Development and Operations. “In addition, what makes this new product unique is that the protein and potassium work synergistically to speed up muscle recovery after exercise or physical labor compared to non-potassium-containing protein recovery products in this space,” said Murphy.

Krampade Complete supplements an individual’s dietary intake of critical macronutrients: potassium, soluble fiber, and protein. These macronutrients are underconsumed in most Americans’ diets, making this new product a simple solution to this nutritional deficit. Like Krampade Recover, it mixes as a clear solution with the addition of water to form a smooth drink, much like home-squeezed lemonade. Because it contains 30 grams of whey protein isolate, 2,000 milligrams of potassium, and 9 grams of soluble fiber per serving, it is an excellent dietary source of these key missing macronutrients in many Americans’ diets. It comes in a regular sugar formulation (30 g per serving) and is also available in a ZERO sugar formulation with only 139 calories from the protein and fiber.

“We looked at our Krampade Fiber (2,000 mg of potassium + 9 g of soluble fiber) and thought combining this with our new Krampade Recover would offer a unique product for individuals looking to add soluble fiber and protein to their diet,” said Dr. Eric J. Murphy, CEO. “This is an outstanding product that exceeds all other products in the adult nutrition space in both fiber and in potassium. Similar to Krampade ZERO and Krampade 2.0 ZERO, our new Krampade Complete ZERO is a significant source of potassium, protein, and fiber for individuals practicing the Ketogenic (KETO) diet,” said Murphy.

Both products can be purchased online at Amazon.com or the company’s website.

Krampade’s headquarters is in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It was founded by Eric J. Murphy, Ph.D., a professor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of North Dakota, and his sons, Cameron C. Murphy, Ph.D. and Sean B. Murphy. Dr. Murphy created Krampade’s original formulation as a solution to the persistent cramping he experienced in his daily life. The company has raised money from private investors and public-private partnerships with the City of Grand Forks and the State of North Dakota’s Department of Commerce and Department of Agriculture. The launch of Krampade Recover and Krampade Complete was funded by a Biosciences Innovation Grant (BIG) to Krampade from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.
