ST. PETERSBURG, FL - After moving its headquarters from Canada to St. Petersburg in 2021, CodeBoxx, is growing again. The company’s primary business is a Coding Academy, dedicated to empowering the community through software development. It provides access to technology- centered career paths based on potential, rather than privilege, and is intentional about diversity and inclusivity within the industry.
On October 4th, CodeBoxx announced the hiring of Kevin Hohl, as their VP of Sales. Hohl is considered a thought leader in the Tampa Bay technology community, leaving Tampa-based software developer HD Interactive after 12 years. Hohl brings over 20 years of experience to his new team, previously working with companies such as Sunken Gardens, The Tampa Bay Lightning, Outback Steakhouse, Carrabbas, Museum of Fine Arts, The Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement, Wounded Warriors, and many other well known Florida brands.
Hohl is not the first acquisition CodeBoxx has made this year. They also scooped up Kim Vogel and Brian Peret, both already making an impact on the CodeBoxx culture and business community.
Vogel serves as the Campus Director at CodeBoxx and was previously the Co-manager of the Greenhouse and VP of Entrepreneurial Advancement and Business Growth at the St. Pete Chamber of Commerce. Vogel was also recently elected as the new Board Chair for the EmpowHERment organization.
Brian Peret is a Senior Developer and Senior Team Coach at CodeBoxx, who is a seasoned full-stack developer and senior engineer, managing a wide variety of enterprise-wide software projects for local start ups.
The team will focus on growing the cyber security and custom software development offerings by providing well-trained coders and developers to Tampa Bay’s best and brightest IT shops.
"I am very excited to be a part of the CodeBoxx team! We have the incredible opportunity to build upon the Tampa Bay technology community by providing well-rounded, workforce-ready coders for world-class Cyber Security and custom software development services to the numerous local tech companies, large and small. Everything we need to make Tampa Bay a global technology leader is right here!" - Kevin Hohl, VP of Sales at CodeBoxx
