The launch of the facility’s new clinical trial for cholesterol medication coincides with the ongoing rise of the condition in the US. According to the latest figures from the CDC, roughly 38% of American adults now have hyperlipidemia, which predisposes people to heart disease and stroke, two of America’s biggest killers.

Moreover, while current cholesterol medications like statins come with a host of side effects, which some takers can find particularly debilitating. These include headaches, dizziness, digestive problems, muscle pain, sleep problems, and more.

As such, CCRII is seeking eligible individuals who want to get paid for taking part in a clinical trial that is testing a new form of high cholesterol treatment.

Volunteers will join some 300+ other members of the trial, which is anticipated to last for a duration of at least one year. In addition to being paid, all costs of their medication will be covered throughout the entire study.

For sufferers of high cholesterol, CCRII believes this study could lead to a medical breakthrough, which may go on to positively impact their experience of the condition for the rest of their life.

They also believe that participating in a clinical trial is an act of service that benefits society and humanity and allows an everyday citizen to become a true medical hero.

Chicago Clinical Research Institute, Inc. was founded in 2005. Since its founding, CCRII has worked tirelessly to develop better treatments for common but highly damaging conditions like hyperlipidemia, as well as diabetes mellitus type II, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, osteoarthritis, and more.

A spokesperson for the research center said, “CCRII is in the business of testing therapeutic candidates while putting the patient’s health first. We are committed to developing products that make a difference for the people who need them, and we never compromise on ethics or quality.”
