A master craftsman of premium handcrafted collector knives, Liong Mah Design, based in Palm Bay, Florida, has revealed new editions of the best-selling Tanto One T-1 Kaiken folder everyday carry (EDC) knife. The T-1 is the Liong Mah Design Collection's slimmest EDC knife.

Liong Mah Design, a master craftsman of high-quality handcrafted collector knives, has announced the release of new versions of the top-selling Tanto One T-1 Kaiken folder EDC knife. The variations of Burlap Micarta, Fat Carbon Artic Storm Inlay, and Fat Carbon Mars Valley Inlay are part of the new release.

Collectors and interested parties can browse the T-1 collection at https://liongmah.com/product-category/t-1/

The update is in response to a recent study that predicted the global market for pocket knives will expand at a CAGR of 5.5% between 2022 and 2030. The expanding popularity of outdoor activities and the rising demand for multipurpose knives are responsible for the market’s expansion. Due to its low cost and ease of mobility, the single-blade pocket knife category is anticipated to dominate the market throughout the forecast period.

The T-1 has a 4.6-inch handle and a 3.75-inch blade that is only 0.145 inches thick, a departure from the thickness of a standard pocket knife. The Tanto One is offblade is made from either M390 or Damascus Damasteel.

Tanto, also known as Tantō, refers to a Japanese auxiliary short sword. The EDC Tanto version by Liong Mah was designed for individuals seeking to own a modern piece of history.

The Kaiken or Kwaiken-style folder is a signature feature of the T-1. This type of folder can be recognized by how the blade completely encircles the handle. It has steel hardware, a titanium-milled pocket clip, and a two-piece titanium handle. A knife’s thinner blade has the advantage of being easier to cut with and easier to carry. It also occupies less space in the pocket and is lighter than standard EDC knives.
