ATLANTA - April 24th, 2023 - Atlanta’s top working dog company, Redemption Road K9 (RRK9), announced today that it has partnered with Top Dogg K9 Foundation of Lilburn, Georgia and the Georgia Community Emergency Response Team (GA-CERT K9) to present at the O Zone International Pet Expo Coming to Atlanta May 5-7, 2023 at the International Convention Center in College Park, GA.
In an effort to help expand their “RRK9s For Freedom” program Redemption Road K9 (RRK9) has partnered with Top Dogg K9 Foundation (TDK9) to help raise awareness and donations for active-duty, transitioning & retired service members seeking a medical service dog.
Redemption Road K9 (RRK9) is a top-rated working dog company, a working dog co-op retailer, and cynology center focusing on Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI). RRK9's for Freedom was born out of the desire to create and develop goal-oriented, structured interventions that intentionally incorporate animals into a broad array of situations including health, education, and human services for the purpose of therapeutic gains and improved health and wellness.
Top Dogg K9 Foundation (TDK9) is a globally recognized organization deeply rooted in the principle that Veterans Deserve Outstanding Generosity and Service (VDOGS). Founded by Blake and Sheila Rashad in 2011 who are both US Army Veterans. Blake “Top Dogg” Rashad served in the U.S. Army as a K-9 Dog Trainer. They are meeting the critical needs of disabled veteran families and communities throughout Atlanta. Their mission is to reduce the number of military families that are impacted by suicide due to mental illness each year.
Georgia Community Emergency Response Team (GA-CERT K9) is an organization of certified, licensed and insured volunteer emergency specialists who have received extensive training in disaster response, K9 tracking & trailing, Human Remains Recovery on both land and water and Live Area Search. Each specialist works to assist existing emergency responders in the event of a disaster, accident, or tragedy. The team, 100% volunteer based, is funded completely by donations and works with local law enforcement to find missing people or bring closure to families with lost loved ones.
The expo will offer a plethora of attractions, including protection and detection dog demonstrations from Redemption Road K9 and GA-CERT K9, a pet fashion show, celebrity pop-ins, grooming competitions, onsite shopping from hundreds of vendors, free self-pet washing stations, pet education, a children’s station, and so much more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to have their photos taken with their pets in front of luxury cars, thanks to Dream Exotics, an event sponsor. The event is completely pet-friendly, so all pets are welcome.
