The Association for Asian Studies Annual Conference, the largest gathering of individuals devoted to the study of Asia, brings together over 3,000 attendees each year from across the globe, fostering connection  between scholars, students, librarians, and historians. Nearly 500 sessions will be presented at the 2024 conference, which will also showcase a film expo featuring more than 20 films from a range of countries including South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Malaysia. It was originally founded in 1941 as publisher of the Far Eastern Quarterly (now the Journal of Asian Studies).

Founded in 1970, the Editorial Freelancers Association is a national nonprofit professional organization with more than 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields.
