She is also a talented artist who enjoys drawing, singing, and creative expression.
Her children, who are proudly bicultural, have grown up immersed in both American and Taiwanese traditions. Inspired by her own family's experiences, Min-Hua wrote "Mama's Hometown Is Kaohsiung, Southern Taiwan" to help families learn about Taiwanese culture and encourage curiosity about different parts of the world. Her hope is to foster appreciation, understanding, and maybe even a little wanderlust in every young reader.
