"This film is a movement, not just a project, and I sincerely hope it will spark tangible change. Gun violence is a global crisis, not limited to America, demanding a unified response." - Terry C. Carney, Sr.

LOS ANGELES, CA, November 11, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Platinum City Golden West Entertainment Films is proud to announce the premiere of its hard-hitting documentary, Put the Guns Down: A World Epidemic, at the Hollywood Weekly Film Festival on Saturday, November 15th. The debut will take place at Warner Brothers Studios.

Put the Guns Down: A World Epidemic is a powerful, feature-length documentary and the first of a 12-part series. More than a film, it's a global rallying cry, aiming to inspire viewers to understand the deeper societal forces behind the violence and catalyze transformative reforms.

Embracing storytelling, Carney authored his first book and completed his latest film project. His experiences as a father and grandfather influence his narrative style, emphasizing redemption and resilience. The tragic loss of friend and collaborator Nipsey Hussle galvanized his advocacy against gun violence through his art. His collaboration with Cornell Ward and affiliation with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass underscore his commitment to diverse voices and critical social issues.
