Orlando International Film Festival Invites All to Attend the 6th Annual 2025 Edition of the Film Festival, Promises a Star-Laden Event

The festival is scheduled to be held from June 18th to 25th, 2025 and there are plans to make it one of the best editions yet

Following the success of the 2024 Orlando International Film Festival, the OIFF board, is thrilled to announce the 2025 edition of the festival. This year’s event will take place in June from the 18th to the 25th and there are lots of plans that are underway to ensure that the event this year is one of a kind.

The Orlando International Film Festival is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for at-risk youth aged 8 to 17. This initiative aims to support these young individuals in becoming self-sufficient and contributing members of society. The festival achieves this by offering year-round training in life skills through various artistic avenues, particularly focusing on film writing and production.

To facilitate this mission, OIFF provides a range of workshops, specialized film production training programs, and internship opportunities. These initiatives are designed to foster confidence and self-esteem among participants, enabling them to showcase their creative talents within the film and arts community in Central Florida and beyond. By engaging with these programs, at-risk youth can develop essential skills that not only enhance their artistic capabilities but also prepare them for future professional endeavors.

This year’s events will showcase and honor individuals who have contributed greatly to film community as well as are trailblazer in there chosen career fields. and inspire creativity and are true role models for many of the young, up-and-coming filmmakers and producers in the United States.

During the weeklong festival, visitors will have the opportunity to sit in and participate in our Film Speakers Series via panels, roundtables, pitch sessions, and workshops, covering every nook and cranny of the arts, writing, and film.

In addition, this year we celebrate honorees who will also contribute in panel discussions throughout the week. True to the form of the event, the last night June 25th 2025 from 7pm – 9pm will culminate with our annual OIFF awards reception, where we will be awarding lifetime achievement awards to these worthy individuals:

  1. Robert Curbeam Jr., the first Black astronaut, U.S. Navy
  2. Jennifer Evins, the president and CEO of United Arts of Central Florida
  3. Kawachi A. Clemons, Ph.D., the Dean of the School of Arts Entertainment, and Design at Valencia College.
  4. Art Smith – Producer, Screenwriter, Owner of No Budget Movie Company
  5. Steven Williams, the President of the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation
  6. Dr. Alzo Riddick – US Amry vet, adjunct professor at Rollins College, served as a representative in the House of Representatives of the U.S. state of Florida for 18th years.


This year’s festival will be exceptional more exciting developments are sure to come. Submissions for the 2025 Orlando International Film Festival are now open, and filmmakers from around the world are encouraged to submit their works. The festival seeks to showcase diverse and innovative storytelling while providing a platform for both emerging and established filmmakers.

The Orlando Film Festival is an immersive five-day experience that includes more than 300 films and industry panels and workshops, all geared to the 300+ indie filmmakers and 5,000 in attendance.
