Beginning with the humble roots of 14 founding Members in 2001, DirectEmployers announced its new milestone of 1,000 Members shortly following the celebration of its 21st anniversary.
As a nonprofit HR trade association, DirectEmployers has long prided itself on its unparalleled membership offerings and support from the federal contractor community. From repeat wins as a Central Indiana Top Workplace to its considerable reputation in the federal contracting education space as a JD Supra Readers’ Choice Award recipient, the thriving organization can now add another milestone to the list of achievements – 1,000 Members strong.
"Our goal as an Association is to define excellence in all that we do – starting with our OFCCP compliance solution – which is proven true by not only our broad Member base, but also in our retention efforts as well," said Candee Chambers, Executive Director of DirectEmployers Association. "We focus not on making a profit but on our Members' needs. Through this, we have discovered how we can best serve the federal contractor community as a whole with solutions that help HR professionals achieve their goals. With over 1,000 Members, our services vary from all-encompassing OFCCP compliance solutions and support to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through outreach to veterans and underserved communities and practical, hands-on education to those looking to advance their careers to the next level."
DirectEmployers’ story remains rooted in the humble beginnings of 14 founding Member companies that came together to form the Association in 2001 under the leadership of William O. Warren, who is widely credited as the founder of online recruitment. Fast-forward 21 years, numerous regulatory and business changes later, and the Association now represents over 1,000 of the top employers from around the globe. Candee Chambers, the nation's subject matter expert in OFCCP compliance, has driven the Association forward since taking over the role as Executive Director in 2017 to provide not only robust and substantive OFCCP compliance services, but to continue diversifying the one-stop solutions offered to Members. During her time as Executive Director, she has enhanced the comprehensive OFCCP compliance audit support and guidance and supported the growth of innovative recruitment marketing solutions offered by subsidiary, Recruit Rooster.
“DirectEmployers has become the ‘Gold Standard’ for affirmative action compliance advice and DEI corporate Best Practices, in addition to being recognized as the industry leader in customer service to deliver available corporate jobs to the marketplace,” said John C. Fox a noted affirmative action compliance consultant. “It is also truly remarkable in this day and age of rising prices and inflation that DirectEmployers has not increased its annual Membership cost since it began listing and posting corporate jobs almost 16 years ago,” said Fox.
As DirectEmployers looks toward the future, one thing is markedly sure – the Association will remain true to its unique beginnings. Efforts to develop new and streamlined processes for compliance will continue, and it will remain steadfast in maintaining its original membership cost, increasing the value seen by its Members year after year.
