2026 Silicon Valley Auto Show Media Preview Opportunity – Friday, January 9

Take the Pulse of the Auto and Tech Industry with Kelley Blue Book Executive Editor Brian Moody

WHAT:

The 2026 Silicon Valley Auto Show takes over the Santa Clara Convention Center January 9-11, bringing together the latest new vehicles, custom rides, EVs and next-generation car technology. Guests can see the new vehicles, talk to experts, and take test drives. Members of the media are invited to preview the show and interview Kelley Blue Book Executive Editor Brian Moody, who will be onsite to discuss the biggest auto trends shaping 2026 – from hybrid growth and EV demand to affordability, technology, and what’s next for consumers in Silicon Valley and nationwide.

“It’s all about choices this year,” said Kelley Blue Book Executive Editor Brian Moody. “Consumers have more powertrain options than ever – including efficient hybrids like the Toyota Camry with up to a 650-mile range and Jeep Cherokee with 500-mile range. Even though the taxpayer-funded EV rebate has ended, there’s still a wide selection of compelling electric cars from brands like Cadillac, Lucid, Tesla, Toyota, and more. The Silicon Valley Auto Show is a great place to compare, and test drive these options in a no-pressure setting.”

Story/Segment Ideas:

  • What's trending: High-performance gas cars are back, while hybrids are experiencing rapid growth.
  • Going to the big game? What new cars and trucks are great for tailgating?
  • EV outlook in 2026: How EV sales are evolving after the end of the $7,500 federal EV rebate, and why the Bay Area remains a strong EV market.
  • Next-gen car tech: Safer, smarter, and more connected vehicles. How close are self-driving cars?
  • Affordable new cars: Several new models are under $30,000 with advanced safety and tech features including the Toyota Corolla Hybrid, Honda Civic, Nissan Kicks, and more – at a time when average new-car prices approach $50,000.
