Without a place to process those experiences, the effects compound. And finding a qualified play therapist in the suburbs north of Dallas has historically meant long waitlists, limited options, or driving into the city.
Mosaic Way’s play therapy program serves children starting at age 4 through its Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) offering, and its Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) program for older children. The practice has credentialed clinicians at both locations, including a number of skilled therapists holding designations from the Association for Play Therapy.
Built Around the Clinician, Not the Caseload
Mosaic Way's ability to attract clinicians who specialize in play therapy is tied directly to how the practice operates. Founder Erin Waldrop built Mosaic Way on a single belief: well-supported clinicians produce better outcomes for clients. The practice has no minimum caseload requirements, a departure from an industry standard that typically pushes therapists toward 30 or more sessions per week.
“When I was going through licensure, I watched good clinicians burn out because the system treated them like a production floor,” said Waldrop. “I built this practice so therapists could actually show up for their clients, including the ones working with children, which is some of the hardest clinical work there is.”
Every clinician at Mosaic Way also receives advanced EMDR training, equipping the team to address underlying trauma that often surfaces in children who present with anxiety, behavioral issues, or difficulty regulating emotions.

Mosaic Way currently operates at 9300 John Hickman Parkway, Suite 103, Frisco, Texas 75035 and 2435 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 140, Southlake, Texas 76092. The practice accepts Aetna, Cigna, and Optimum, and works with clients on out-of-network benefits for other providers. Complimentary 30-minute consultations are available at both locations.
