Hong Kong violin prodigy Sherry Tse has added another remarkable achievement to her growing legacy. On April 26 at 3:30 PM, the twelve-year-old musician stepped onto the stage of the legendary Berlin Philharmonie, performing Saint-Saëns' "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso" with Bulgarian conductor Nayden Todorov and the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. With this historic appearance, she became the youngest soloist ever to perform at this prestigious venue.

The afternoon's program offered a rich musical tapestry. Sherry opened with Saint-Saëns' virtuosic showpiece, delivering a performance marked by technical assurance, expressive depth, and an artistic maturity that belied her years. Her interpretation captured both the Spanish-inflected passion and the dazzling bravura of the work, drawing warm and sustained applause from the captivated audience.

Adding to the evening's distinction, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Germany, the China Cultural Centre in Berlin, and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Berlin jointly arranged for over one hundred guests to attend the concert, lending their enthusiastic support to the young artist.

The concert continued with pianist Soojung Park performing Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, bringing Romantic warmth and introspection to the stage. The program concluded with Dvořák's Symphony No. 8, performed with vibrant energy and rich orchestral color under Todorov's baton.

Sherry first gained international recognition through her deeply moving interpretations of the "Butterfly Lovers" Violin Concerto. During her European tour this February, she performed the work three times in six days across Hungary and Switzerland, earning prolonged standing ovations and high praise from conductor Felipe Tristan, who noted her "impressive technical command, intelligence, and genuine musical instinct." Classical Highlights (Switzerland) has described her playing as "distinguished by its refined tone, technical security, and natural musicality," adding that she "combines youthful freshness with remarkable maturity."

This historic debut at the Berlin Philharmonie marks yet another milestone in Sherry Tse's extraordinary journey. At just twelve years old, she continues to prove herself one of the most compelling young violinists of her generation—an artist whose sensitivity, skill, and stage presence promise a brilliant future ahead.
