UiPath beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 4.1% last quarter, reporting revenues of $361.7 million, up 14.4% year on year. It was a satisfactory quarter for the company, with an impressive beat of analysts’ EBITDA estimates but a significant miss of analysts’ billings estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting UiPath’s revenue to grow 10.7% year on year to $392.8 million, improving from the 8.8% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.15 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. UiPath has only missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates once over the last two years, exceeding top-line expectations by 3.5% on average.
Looking at UiPath’s peers in the automation software segment, some have already reported their Q3 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Pegasystems delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 17.3%, beating analysts’ expectations by 8.5%, and Jamf reported revenues up 15.2%, topping estimates by 3.4%. Pegasystems traded up 15% following the results while Jamf’s stock price was unchanged.
