Powerhouse Litigation Boutique Mo Lovett Law Opens North Texas Office

Expansion comes just a year after launch of Houston firm

Houston litigation firm Mo Lovett Law is expanding into North Texas, launching Mo Lovett Law Metroplex. The appointment-only office in Westlake opened Jan. 1, 2026.

Mary-Olga “Mo” Lovett opened the Houston-based boutique firm in January 2025 to focus on high-stakes commercial litigation, litigation consulting and mediation and arbitration matters, and she quickly recognized the need for an additional Texas office.

“I have been blessed with a successful career, but this year has been eye-opening for me,” said Ms. Lovett. “The vast majority of my career was as a Big Law partner handling major cases nationwide, but I expected when I launched my own firm that my work would become more regionally concentrated. I quickly realized a North Texas office was warranted to better serve the needs of my clients.”

It has been a banner year for the firm and Ms. Lovett. Less than a year after opening, the firm was named to The Best Lawyers in America’s 2026 Best Law Firms legal guide. Ms. Lovett has consistently earned Band 1 designation as a trial lawyer by Chambers USA and as a leading commercial litigator in Texas. She also received the highest rankings in this year’s inaugural Legal 500 US Elite guide.

In September, Ms. Lovett received a pair of prestigious career accolades. She was presented with the Women, Influence & Power in Law Lifetime Achievement award from ALM/Law.com. She was also one of four attorneys honored with Texas Lawyer’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

In her nearly 30-year career, Ms. Lovett has tried more than 50 jury cases with more than $100 billion in combined damages at stake. Prior to launching Mo Lovett Law, Ms. Lovett was a trial and global disputes partner at King & Spalding and previously was Greenberg Traurig’s Houston co-managing shareholder and co-regional operating shareholder. She also was the first female senior vice president of the global firm.
