Beale Infrastructure Announces Hyperscale Kansas Data Center Campus, Advancing $3 Billion Infrastructure Investment

Beale Infrastructure has announced the first phase of its De Soto, Kansas data center campus. The development will break ground in May, making it the first hyperscale data center to be announced in the state of Kansas.

The first phase of the campus will comprise at least two facilities and supporting infrastructure. At full buildout, the campus is expected to encompass four buildings and more than one million square feet with an estimated development value of $3 billion, representing a significant long-term infrastructure investment in the region. The first phase will add hundreds of construction jobs and 50 operational roles to the local economy, supported by Bealeʼs workforce development, community grants, and conservation and environmental stewardship initiatives.

The project reflects Bealeʼs responsible development model, which emphasizes disciplined site selection aligned with local land use planning, proactive engagement and long-term partnership with local communities and direct investment to strengthen area infrastructure and the local workforce. All major project infrastructure – including power delivery, water systems, and site improvements – will be privately funded by Beale, ensuring schedule certainty while avoiding cost impacts to local residents and ratepayers.

The project is supported by a strong ongoing partnership with Evergy, which will provide power service and deliver developer funded infrastructure aligned with the regionʼs growth and reliability objectives. The site leverages previously designated industrial land adjacent to the Panasonic EV battery manufacturing plant, maintaining separation from residential areas while enabling large-scale infrastructure development within an established industrial park. Once built, the campus will host a large technology company tenant contracted via a long-term lease.

Beale will begin initiating site preparation activities this month, including engagement with general contractors, supply chain partners, and infrastructure providers to support delivery. As a Community First developer, Beale has also begun conversations with non-profit and sustainability leaders in De Soto to begin establishing partnerships that support lasting benefits for the community that reinforce the value of this project.
