Panda Windows & Doors’ horizontal sliding walls (HSW) have many applications in residential renovation products. They are typically used to join distinct interior areas together, creating the illusion of a more open layout, but because they are designed to be sturdy, the company also recommends them for entryways that connect to outdoor spaces. With 6063-T6 aluminum extrusions and multiple locking points, the systems offer improved security while providing occupants with a generous view of the outdoors.

HSWs are available in a number of models; standard options will have all-aluminum extrusions, and aluminum/wood-clad systems come with wood panels with operable clips that lock onto the extrusions for easy repairs. Customers who want a more natural appearance for their system can instead order solid wood models, and these feature durable LVL wood cores. Frameless options are also available for buyers who prefer minimalistic designs and uninterrupted sight lines.

When opening an HSW, the door panels can be slid and stacked outside the aperture, leaving it completely clear. Buyers may choose to integrate custom parking areas into the system to store the panels out of sight. Swing door panels are optional, but Panda Windows & Doors recommends them for entryways that will be used daily.

Because HSWs are made to order, they can be customized to fit oversized openings, curved apertures, and other unconventional architectural features.

A satisfied client said, “Panda was so easy to work with when we were adding our sliding glass wall to our home. They made the process so easy; they even referred us to a general contractor to do the preliminary work for us. Since I’m in the development business, I was able to contact other contractors for recommendations on whom I should use for the manufacturing of the sliding glass wall. It was unanimous; Panda was the number one choice.”
