Type 2 Diabetes Reversal: Lifestyle, Therapy Guide To Insulin Resistance Release

Holistic health website Valleant has released a new guide exploring natural methods to control or reverse Type 2 diabetes.

-- The newly published guide discusses how reversing the condition may be possible through a combination of medical interventions and lifestyle changes. The resource comes in response to recent health data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that revealed around 38 million Americans (1 in 10) have some form of diabetes. Approximately 90 to 95% of these cases are Type 2 diagnoses.

More details can be found at https://valleant.com//how-to-reverse-diabetes-type-2/

The Valleant guide recommends that any treatment approach for the disease should be personalized and take account of factors such as weight management and emotional and psychological health. The piece explains that following a well-balanced diet plan and incorporating regular physical exercise is central to successfully managing Type 2 diabetes.

In particular, sticking to a diet plan with a balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fats helps control the condition, the guide says. Complex carbohydrates found in whole grains and non-starchy vegetables such as broccoli and leafy greens have a minimal impact on blood sugar levels. Lean protein sources such as chicken, turkey, tofu, and fish are also recommended alongside healthy fats found in avocados, nuts, and seeds.

Exercise also plays a vital role in increasing insulin sensitivity which in turn helps the body control blood sugar levels. The piece suggests, “Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise per week, such as brisk walking, swimming, or cycling. You may also include strength training exercises, such as lifting weights or using resistance bands, two to three times per week.”

There are also medications developed to reverse the progression of Type 2 diabetes. The guide also highlights some extreme interventions such as gastric bypasses which reduce food intake, reduce weight, and improve disease markers.

New therapies are also being developed which may provide further treatment options. The guide says, “Emerging research explores the potential of enhancing beta cell function to improve glycemic control. For example, a study conducted on type 1 diabetes patients found that a specific protein can stimulate beta cell growth and insulin production. This finding could potentially benefit type 2 diabetes patients as well, by addressing the root cause of their condition.”
